LIFEGROUPS

Lifegroups are opportunities during the week to meet with a group of Christians in different formats to build stronger relationships with God and others. Some groups meet in the dorms on campus or in off campus in student’s homes. We strive to construct each lifegroup around our student’s own conviction, leadership, and initiative, because we are training the church of today. Each student is strongly encouraged to find a lifegroup that meets their needs because we feel it is imperative for Christ to be modeled in the homes of young adults who are currently building their own faith. Lifegroups come in all shapes and sizes:

  • Recreation and Activities— Strong Christians have healthy, balanced friendships– which are built through groups of Christians from the UC who get together for basketball, intramurals, watching movies, cross-stitching, book clubs, hobbies or simply watching the sun set…
  • Spiritual Enrichment and Growth—examples of these include spending time praying together, holding each other accountable, guys and girls’ studies, and many others.
  • Textually Oriented Groups— Christiains should constantly grow in their knowledge of God’s Word—studying the Bible helps us hear and understand who God is and what His message is for us.
  • Service Activities and Missions—By nature, Jesus was a servant—so are His followers. These groups are committed to physical service towards the needs of others both in Stillwater and abroad
